Waterford based New Links Training Solutions is a driving power and strength, supporting the South East’s unemployed.

New Links Training Solutions, a Waterford training company since 2009 has been chosen as one of 36 providers Nationwide to provide training under a New Government Initiative. Momentum is a new initiative provided through FÁS which aims to support eligible jobseekers with access to a range of quality education and training projects, links to identified job vacancies and employers along with providing a relevant industry and National Framework Qualification Certificate.

This initiative, Momentum, will assist 6,500 long term unemployed jobseekers to gain in-demand skills and to access work in sectors of the economy where there are job opportunities.  The programmes will include on-the-job training in the form of work experience modules as well as the development of the workplace skills required to obtain and retain employment. Speaking at Windmill Lane Recording Studies where the launch took place, Paul O’Toole, Director General, FÁS said “This programme provides a real opportunity to long term jobseekers to develop the skills that employers are looking for. These training programmes are designed and aimed to provide an excellent opportunity to 120, 18-25 year olds in the South East.  Momentum and New Links Training Solutions offers a fantastic opportunity to those unemployed for over one year and allows the trainee to experience a work placement during their time on their programme. Speaking about the new programmes, Janet Tumulty, Owner and Director of New Links Training Solutions said “both programmes are unique an an excellent opportunity to the young people of Waterford.  Courses are being offered in Waterford, Wexford, Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel and I would encourage people to use these opportunities to further themselves and gain skills that will be useful to their progression and give them a sense of value in the work place.

There are two training programmes on offer and trainees will gain a FETAC qualification on completion.  FETAC is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification which will provide those that complete this programme with many options within Ireland or also abroad.  Read more information
