Janet Tumulty – Head of Training & Quality Assurance Director
Janet leads the training team here at New Links Training Solutions and is passionate about quality assurance and the development of quality training solutions for our clients. Janet is responsible for setting up all the internal Quality Assurance and learning management systems and her work and the standards within the business have been commended by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) a National Certification Authority. Janet has been instrumental in assisting a number of companies to create their Training Department functions ‘from the ground up’ including the development of policies & procedures, quality assurance, online training, content development, administration, assessment, and evaluation. Janet directs the implementation of learning and development strategies and has a keen eye for identifying gaps and devising workable solutions. She has been instrumental in designing and introducing successful team building, diversity, leadership, communications, and performance management programmes to organizations, groups, and individual clients one to one. Janet holds professional qualifications in Social Studies, Coaching, Facilitation, RPL Mentoring and Training & Development. Janet is an avid crafter with a love for all things creative, but she loves papercraft and projects that require precision. At the weekends you are likely to meet her on the Waterford greenway as she has recently resumed her interest in cycling and hasn’t missed a weekend cycle since the Greenway opened in March of 2017. Janet is a voluntary Board Member of the Solas Cancer Support Centre, Waterford and regularly supports fundraising events and local activities.

Jim Tumulty – Business Director
Jim’s professional experience, project management and strategy development have supported the growth of New Links Training from a sole proprietorship to its current status as a successful company employing 3 full-time staff and up to 10 associate trainers. Jim’s expertise in the field of IT has driven the development of our blended learning, CRM and LMS systems ensuring efficient and effective management and evaluation of the clients training experience. Jim ensures that our clients receive a professional, personalised service from the introductory phone call or email through to service delivery. Jim project manages our contracted projects including the Momentum programme (2012 – 2017) which catered for several hundred learners in multiple centres across the South East. Jim engages with clients, trainees and employers to ensure that optimum benefit and progression opportunities are achieved through work-based training projects. In the retail industry, Jim was a frontrunner in the implementation of retail IT systems in the late ’90s and the introduction of new systems and processes to more than 600 retailers nationally in Musgrave group. Jim introduced enhanced reporting and process improvements in the Caulfield Group. Jim has held the roles of commercial manager, business analyst, project manager and group IT manager for Musgrave Group and Caulfield’s Supervalu. Jim’s professional qualifications include Commercial Computing, Diploma in telecommunications management, Kepner Tregoe project management & decision making, recruitment, mediation, conflict management, time management. In his spare time, Jim enjoys a good round of golf and is a member of Waterford Castle Golf club.

Kieran Tumulty – Governance, Contracting
Kieran is a graduate of Law and English from University College Cork. He also holds a QQI level 6 certificate in training and development. Kieran’s talent for accuracy in developing policies and procedures has helped the business to grow and develop as the landscape of training at National level continues to change. Kieran worked on the migration of former FETAC awards to the new QQI common awards system (CAS). Kieran, an experienced recruitment manager, currently acts as an external advisor to the business in the areas of governance, content development and contracting. In his spare time, Kieran is an outdoor enthusiast and has competed in a number of marathons and triathlons.
Jacintha Cloney – Trainer
With over 20 years experience in the hospitality and health and fitness industry, Jacintha delivers first-class, expert-driven training to our clients. Educated to a Masters level Jacintha’s experience spans community, residential and further education settings where she has worked with diverse and challenging groups. She is an approachable, patient and responsible full-time tutor, with experience teaching students of various academic levels mixed, learning abilities and challenging environments. Jacintha’s greatest strength as a tutor is her ability to connect with and adapt to the pace of the learner. Jacintha enjoys challenging trainees to understand their learning styles, their motivation, and barriers to success. She consistently achieves positive results with learners and this is evident in retention rates and engagement of learners. As a result of her diverse career and educational experience, Jacintha has enormous potential for flexibility and adaptability both in developing trainees and delivering new and bespoke projects. Outside of work, Jacintha likes to keep fit mentally and physically and she enjoys swimming, gardening, and mindful meditation.
Martina Harte – Trainer
Martina Harte is an experienced teacher, trainer, manager, and therapist who is dedicated to the development of human potential. Her professional experience over thirty years spans second level, community education, and higher education contexts. As a Head of Department in Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), she managed a team of professionals and educational specialists across a range of quality student services and innovative projects. Her membership of WIT Academic Council equipped her with expertise in areas of curriculum development and in quality assurance policy and practice. Teacher of professional development is another keen area of interest for Martina. She tutored on a Masters degree in Learning and Teaching. Martina is also a qualified yoga and meditation teacher, who has been teaching philosophy on a professionally accredited yoga teacher training programme in Waterford. Her approach to optimum health and wellbeing is underpinned by cutting-edge developments in neuroscience. Martina’s approach to training and education is deeply reflective and developmental. Martina holds a range of professional qualifications in diverse fields including two Masters degrees, one in Learning and Teaching and a second in Guidance and Counselling.
Elora Montserrat Boente Santiso – Trainer
Elora is an experienced Business and Sponsorship Development Manager with a proven track record of exceeding targets and managing projects across a range of industries, SMEs and in the charity sector. Elora has managed budgets up to 1M and she has supervised sales teams with targets of up to 350K; she believes that her sales success lies in her passion for creating great customer relationships and focusing on win-win outcomes. Elora’s professional motto is “make the impossible possible”. Elora has extensive project management experience including people management, marketing, sales, finance and logistics. Elora’s passion for people and interest in event management has led her to set up a centre in her hometown of Kilkenny offering affordable studio space for artists, the centre also focuses on mindfulness, personal development and wellbeing. Elora professional qualifications include a Degree in Management & Business Studies, Certificate in Training and Development, a diploma in life & business coaching and a Professional Diploma in Global Trade and e-business.
Emer O’Neill – Trainer
Emer comes to us from retail management and has over ten years experience in the retail and hospitality sector. Emer is extremely passionate about great customer service having won awards for her excellent customer service throughout her professional career. Emer has incredible attention to detail and a unique way of connecting with her learners. After receiving a Bachelors degree at Waterford Institute of Technology in Sociology and Psychology it was clear to Emer that she wanted to work with people, helping them to achieve their goals both personally and professionally. We had the pleasure of getting to know Emer as she undertook her QQI level 6 Train The Trainer here with us at New Links Training Solutions and since then we have watched her flourish as a tutor. Emer has been described by herself and others as “having found her calling” when it comes to tutoring. In her spare time Emer loves traveling, having lived in San Diego, CA and Vancouver, WA, as well as drinking lots of coffee.
Michael McGarry – Trainer
Michael McGarry served at senior management level in An Garda Siochana for almost 40 years. Throughout his service, he has received extensive experience in all aspects of policing ranging from front-line operational policing to leadership and management consultancy, with responsibility for a number of Garda Divisions throughout Ireland. Michael also gained international experience, having served with the United Nations in Cambodia/U.N.T.A.C as Provincial Commander during 1992/1993. Michael was appointed to the rank of Chief Superintendent in 2005. Michael was awarded B.A. (Hons) degree in Police Management in 2000-2003. He also successfully completed an Executive Leadership in police management 2007-2008 which he undertook through the Smurfit Business School. A module of this course was completed at the Harvard University School in Boston dealing with Crisis management involving Major Emergency Management. Michael brings extensive management and leadership experience to the team and as a tutor, he is encouraging and supportive to trainees using his extensive experience to promote development, growth and critical thinking. Eileen Woodford – Trainer
Eileen has been in the Coaching and Training sector for the past 12 years working with Private, Corporate and Public clients. She specialises in Executive Coaching and Career-Transition and has a natural ability to create an environment (whether 1:1 or group) where clients or learners feel safe to take on new learning, developing the skills necessary to enable them to realise their potential. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management, London and holds Diplomas in Executive Coaching and Adult Education. Eileen’s passion for her work is evident in all her activities with trainees and she receives consistent complimentary feedback from her energetic coaching and training sessions. In her spare time Eileen enjoys some serious walking, she has an adventurous spirit and loves to travel. One of Eileen’s favourite mottos is: “If we don’t try we never know, and if we never know we’ll always wonder ‘what if?’ “
William Kinsella – Trainer
The newest member of the training team William is passionate about customer service and hospitality with extensive and varied experience in the hospitality sector. Williams experience includes managing staff, setting and achieving high standards in customer service and catering, working collaboratively with client’s to deliver on demanding targets and service levels. As a trainer William is engaging and versatile gives his full commitment to his trainees as he enjoys sharing his skills and knowledge with others. In addition to training, William owns a thriving award winning restaurant ‘the wildflower cafe’ which has received local and national recognition including a County Customer Service award.
